Become a Full Member
For fully qualified Community Interpreters at Level 3. Gain access to specialised training & CPD, dedicated professional support, community events and networking opportunities, development tools and best practice information. Full directory listing included.

Become an Associate Member
This grade level is offered to trainee and student interpreters who are at the start of their interpreting journey. Gain access to learning resources to help you increase your confidence and start growing your professional network. Once you become qualified you will be invited to become a full member.

Join as a Community Subscriber
For friends, advocates and supporters of the interpreting community. Subscribe to our newsletters to keep up to date with the association work, events and news updates. Recommended to charities, public service bodies and agencies who regularly work with community interpreters.

Member benefits
Join like-minded professionals who are working together to raise the standards of community interpreting.
Full members must hold a Community Interpreting Level 3 awarded by a recognised awarding body.
Full members can register with the Association by paying an annual fee of £30 per calendar year.
Full members can hold office positions and can vote on decisions raised in any meeting held by the Association.
Full members will have access to a ‘Members Only’ area, where they can tap into further benefits – free courses, webinars, learning pathways, templates and more.
Full members can add their details on the Find a Community Interpreter directory.
Full members abide by the association’s code of conduct and uphold the highest professional standards for the benefit of the service user and service user.
Associate membership accepts students working towards the Community Interpreting Level 3 Certificate (within a 2 year period).
Associate membership has an annual fee of £10 per calendar year.
Associate membership offers access to free resources, limited access to webinars and members will be guided on relevant CPD and how to work towards full membership.
Associate members must abide by the association’s code of conduct.
Associate membership is also open to interpreters who hold other qualifications, as long as they understand and support the objectives of the association.
