A Message from Helena El Masri, Chair of ACIS
As many of you know I have been actively working to raise standards in Community Interpreting. With a view to fostering a better understanding of the professionalism of community interpreters, I would like to invite you all to join the association today. Everyone can be an associate member as long as you foster the aims of the Association of Community Interpreters (ACIS).
Membership
Full Membership of ACIS will give you access to free CPD and a place in the directory (if eligible).
- Access your CPD, e-books, guides and resources at any time, in the Member Area (coming soon!)
- Broaden your chances of getting direct work by being added to the Directory of Qualified Community Interpreters
- Use the ACIS logo on your emails so that your clients become aware that you are qualified and vetted.
The directory will be used by key stakeholders like the NHS, DWP, and other public service organisations so that they can contact you directly, knowing that they are getting a qualified vetted professional.
